233 Route 6 Family Centered Substance Abuse Treatment Services provides substance abuse treatment for youth being discharged from a Connecticut Detention Center to divert the youth from admission to a residential level of care. United Services provides in-home, wrap-around services, collaborates with other providers, identifies natural support networks and positively engages each child and family to overcome the negative effects of traumatic life events. Services are delivered with the client/family as the center of a team. The team consists of all of the service providers/stakeholders in their lives.Culturally competent services are available to Latino families. The program works with the Rockville, Waterford and Willimantic Juvenile Courts and the Manchester, Norwich and Willimantic DCF area offices. Eligibility: Youth ages ten through sixteen who are being discharged from a Connecticut Detention Center and who are considered at risk for an out of home placement.
