Peer Recovery Specialist (MAT- Medication Assisted Treatment)

Description:

United Services is looking to hire a full-time Peer Recovery Specialist to join our MAT team. If you are passionate about working with individuals in or seeking recovery from substance use and mental health disorders, this is the position is for you! Bring the peer perspective and your recovery experience to support and inspire others to achieve person-driven and self-defined achievable goals. With the support of the MAT team, you will provide assistance and support to individuals who are struggling with addiction to assist them with their recovery goals. Your activities will include working closely with the team’s prescribers and clinicians to strengthen wrap-around care, connecting clients with resources to support their recovery, providing routine coaching, support, and education to clients related to substance use, outreaching and making connections with external agencies, and assisting with wellness and health promotion activities.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 9:00 am -5:30 pm  and one shift 10:30 am – 7:00 pm

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an Associate’s Degree in a related field plus 4 years of direct service experience or High School Diploma/equivalent plus 6 years of relevant experience required (relevant experience includes lived experience).

Certification: Recovery Specialist Certification

  • United Services requires Recovery Specialist Certification to be completed within the first year of employment.

We accept certifications through Hartford Healthcare or Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) and Advocacy Unlimited

Salary Range:

$18.54 – $20.98

Bilingual Spanish Fluency: $19.48 – $22.04
