All Adjunct Counselors are contacted to provide coverage on a per diem basis. There is no guaranteed schedule, and coverage requests are based on program and client needs.
Seeking Per Diem Adjunct Counselors
Join the dedicated team of professionals in our transitional living house/treatment facility and Clubhouse located in Willimantic, CT.
YAS is a therapeutic program that provides intensive, wrap around services, including clinical, medication management, nursing, case management, vocational, recreational, transitional living and housing services to young adults, ages 18-25, who have a diagnosed mental illness and are in need of community-based support services in the Willimantic area.
If you have knowledge and experience with trauma informed care, mental health, substance use, community support services, and an understanding of the developmental issues of this population, join the dedicated team of professionals at YAS! Interested applicants must enjoy making a difference, believe in a person’s ability to overcome amazing challenges, must be willing to learn and must be flexible, compassionate and a team player.
Adjunct responsibilities may include:
- Medication monitoring
- Client transportation
- Assist clients in addressing basic needs, including medical and psychiatric needs
- Prepare and facilitate educational and skill-building groups and one-to-one interventions as directed by the treatment plan
- Assist in the preparation of meals
- Counseling
- Coordinate care with providers and families as needed
- Documentation
- House cleaning
Schedule:
Openings available for all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift), including weekends and holidays.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required plus two years of experience working in the human services field preferred.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to transport client in own car, when needed.
Supervision and training provided.
Salary Range:
$21.00 per hour
*Benefits are not eligible for part-time positions
