Our Crisis Response Team works throughout the communities we serve, meeting individuals where they are whenever possible. We believe crisis care should be accessible, responsive, and centered on dignity, safety, and human connection.<\/p>\n
A behavioral health crisis is not a crime.<\/p>\n
United Services partners with local police departments, first responders, emergency medical services, courts, hospitals, and community organizations to help individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises receive the support they need as safely and quickly as possible.<\/p>\n
Through collaboration, training, crisis intervention, and care coordination, we help connect people to treatment and recovery services whenever appropriate, reducing unnecessary involvement with the criminal justice system while improving outcomes for individuals, families, and the community.<\/p>\n

Jail Diversion Services<\/h3>\n
Our Jail Diversion program works with individuals who have behavioral health needs and may be at risk of entering\u2014or becoming further involved in \u2013 the criminal justice system.<\/p>\n
By identifying treatment needs early and connecting individuals with behavioral health services, housing resources, recovery supports, and community programs, we help create pathways toward stability and long-term recovery.<\/p>\n
Our Jail Diversion team collaborates closely with law enforcement, courts, probation, hospitals, and community providers to support successful outcomes while promoting public safety.<\/p>\n

CIT emphasizes communication, de-escalation, and connecting individuals with treatment whenever appropriate. Through education, collaboration, and shared expertise, these partnerships help create safer interactions for individuals in crisis, first responders, and the community as a whole.<\/p>\n
