Through training, mentorship, and real-world experience, Youth Peer Advocates play an active role in building healthier communities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You Will Do (Day-to-Day):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Represent your Local Prevention Council at monthly youth advisory meetings<\/li>\n<li>Participate in prevention coalitions and community activities<\/li>\n<li>Engage peers in conversations about wellness and healthy decision-making<\/li>\n<li>Help create media campaigns for youth and parents<\/li>\n<li>Support community outreach and prevention initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with youth, community leaders, and prevention professionals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Schedule: <\/strong>5- 20 hours per week. Flexible schedule based on program needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hourly Rate:<\/strong> $16.94 (Minimum Wage)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be between the ages of 16-24<\/li>\n<li>Must currently be a high school or college student and live, work or be familiar with communities served by United Services, Inc.<\/li>\n<li>Have an interest in youth substance use prevention, community advocacy, and promoting mental health<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to engage peers in conversations about substance use and wellness<\/li>\n<li>Be momfortable with public speaking and community engagement activities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively with community members and diverse populations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Youth Peer Advocate Schedul<\/strong>e: 5 hours per week- up to 20 hours per week, flexible schedule<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Location: <\/strong>This position requires employees to be fully present in the office and in the community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This position is not eligible for benefits.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Employment Requirement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All employees of United Services, Inc. are required to receive the influenza (flu) vaccine each year, unless a medical exemption has been submitted and approved by our Medical Director.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>United Services Inc. \u2014 Join Our Team!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do you want to make a direct impact in the lives of children, families and adults with social and behavioral health needs?
