Milner House is a 8-bed, intensively staffed residential program that helps individuals with severe and prolonged mental illness develop the skills necessary to live independently in the community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>*Why Join Us: Spend up to 70% less time on paperwork with documentation support technology designed to help you focus more on care.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the program provides 24-hour support across three awake shifts. As a Community Living Counselor, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing individual support, group counseling, skill development, and daily living assistance that promotes recovery, independence, and community integration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>What You Will Do (Day-to-Day):<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Monitor and support medication management activities.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Transport individuals to appointments, community activities, and other essential services.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Assist individuals in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Prepare and facilitate educational, recovery-focused, and skill-building groups.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Provide one-to-one interventions consistent with individual treatment plans.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Assist with meal preparation and promote healthy daily living skills.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Provide individual and group counseling and support.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Respond to crises and conduct risk assessments as needed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Function as an active member of the treatment team.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Coordinate care with providers, family members, and other supports as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Complete required documentation, progress notes, and reports in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming residential environment.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Teach and support the development of daily living, social, and emotional skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Schedule:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">(2nd shift) Full-time, Tuesday -Saturday, 12:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Hourly Pay Range: <\/b>$19.00 &#8211; $21.50 (depending on experience)<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Bilingual Spanish\/English Fluency: <\/b>$19.96 &#8211; $22.59 (depending on experience)<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Minimum Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Associate\u2019s degree plus two years of appropriate experience required or Bachelor\u2019s degree in relevant human services field.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Valid driver&#8217;s license<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Reliable transportation<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Ability to transport clients in a personal vehicle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Work Location: <\/b>This position requires employees to be fully present in the office and in the community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Benefits Package:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Generous medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their families<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Life, AD&amp;D, short-term and long-term disability insurance, 100% employer paid<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Four weeks of paid vacation<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">12 paid holidays<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Paid sick time<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Flexible Spending Accounts for healthcare and dependent care reimbursement<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Professional Development Funding Opportunities<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">403(b) Retirement Plan (tax-deferred) with employer contribution and matching after one year of employment<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Employee Assistance Program (EAP)<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Mileage Reimbursement<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">United Services is a designated employer for the National Health Service Corps loan repayment and scholarship programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><i>*Benefits will be prorated for eligible part-time positions.<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Important Employment Requirement:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">All employees of United Services, Inc. are required to receive the influenza (flu) vaccine each year, unless a medical exemption has been submitted and approved by our Medical Director.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>United Services Inc. &#8211; Join Our Team!<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Changing the world for the better starts with helping those around you.
