(Position is located 30 minutes from Providence, RI – Worcester, MA – New London, CT – Willimantic, CT)

Description:

Seeking full-time Advocates for our Domestic Violence Program (DVP) located in Danielson and Willimantic, CT. Work as part of a team in our 24/7 residential shelters which provide a safe environment to adults and children fleeing domestic violence. You would be a trained certified domestic violence advocate providing individual and group counselingcrisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy, shelter, and hotline coverage. As part of our DVP team, you would coordinate services for victims of domestic violence and collaborate with other staff to meet their needs. Basic office work such as copying, filing, and organizing material; along with cleaning is required.

Domestic Violence Program: DVP offers services to anyone who is a victim of domestic abuse and provides a diverse array of services including 24/7 emergency shelter, court advocacy assistance, referral and information services, support groups and counseling, case management, recreation, bilingual staff, educational programs for schools and training for professionals throughout Northeastern Connecticut.

Schedule:

Domestic Violence Advocate Schedule:

Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

Domestic Violence Advocate (Bilingual) Schedule:

Tuesday – Saturday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Salary Range:

Salary/Hourly Range: $19.48 – $22.04 per hour depending on experience.

Bilingual Spanish/English Fluency Salary Range: $19.48 – $22.04 per hour depending on experience.
