Description:

United Services is looking to hire a full-time Peer Recovery Specialist to join our MAT team. If you are passionate about working with individuals in or seeking recovery from substance use and mental health disorders, this is the position is for you! Bring the peer perspective and your recovery experience to support and inspire others to achieve person-driven and self-defined achievable goals. Our team prides itself on providing a supportive work environment and encouraging a good work-life balance.

With the support of the MAT team, you will provide assistance and support to individuals who are struggling with addiction to assist them with their recovery goals. Your activities will include working closely with the team’s prescribers and clinicians to strengthen wrap-around care, connecting clients with resources to support their recovery, providing routine coaching, support, and education to clients related to substance use, outreaching and making connections with external agencies, and assisting with wellness and health promotion activities.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 9:00 am -5:30 pm and one shift 10:30 am – 7:00 pm

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an Associate’s Degree in a related field plus 4 years of direct service experience or High School Diploma/equivalent plus 6 years of relevant experience required.

Certification: Recovery Support Specialist or Recovery Coach from a DMHAS Approved Training Organization

We accept certifications through Advocacy Unlimited (AU) Hartford Healthcare-Recovery Leadership Academy (HHC-RLA) or Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR)

*Must be able to obtain Peer Support and Recovery Specialist Recovery Specialist Certification within one year of employment.

Salary Range:

$19.00-$21.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Bilingual (Spanish/English) rate of pay: $19.96-$22.59 per hour (depending on experience)
