Description:
We are looking for dedicated, hard-working professionals to work in our licensed transitional living program in Moosup, Connecticut. Working with adults in mental health recovery to return to living independently. Work as part of a team providing individual support and group counseling in a residential setting. Milner House is a 14-bed intensively staffed transitional living facility. It serves people with severe and prolonged mental illness. The facility provides 24-hour coverage on three awake-shifts and is licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health. Work includes assisting and teaching individuals adult daily living skills and social and emotional skill development. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to transport clients in their own car are required.
Responsibilities include:
• Medication monitoring
• Transporting individuals that we serve
• Assists individuals in addressing medical and psychiatric needs
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill building groups and one-to-one interventions as directed by the treatment plan
• Assist in the preparation of meals
• Individual and group counseling
• Crisis intervention and risk assessment
• Function as part of a team in support of available services
• Coordinate care with providers and families as needed
• Documentation
• House cleaning
Comprehensive training provided for all positions.
Schedule:
• Tuesday – Saturday: 12:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (40 – hours) 2nd Shift
Minimum Requirements:
· 1st and 2nd shift position – Associate’s Degree plus two years of appropriate experience required or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant human services field.
Salary Range:
$19.00 – $21.50 per hour depending on experience
Bilingual Spanish/English Fluency: $19.96 – $22.59 per hour depending on experience.
