QPR:  Question, Persuade,Refer–  the 3 necessary skills that  anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.

Just as learning CPR helps saves lives,  the one hour “QPR Gatekeeper Training”  teaches how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

Who Can be Trained? Gatekeepers can be anyone:  parents, friends, neighbors, teachers, ministers, doctors, nurses, office supervisors, squad leaders, foremen, police officers, advisors, caseworkers, firefighters, and students. Trainings are regularly held at United Services offices, but can also be brought to community locations or workplaces.

For more information and/or to schedule a training, contact EAP Manager Sara Barber at 860-774-2020 or by email.
