United Services partners with schools, healthcare providers, businesses, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, artists, educators, and community leaders to strengthen prevention efforts, expand access to resources, and support healthier, more connected communities throughout Northeastern Connecticut.

Our Community Partnerships & Outreach initiatives focus on mental health awareness, prevention, education, wellness, and community engagement through collaborative programs and community-centered events. This work includes both traditional prevention efforts and creative, neuroarts-informed approaches that support emotional wellness, resilience, and social connection.

Programs and initiatives may include but are not limited to:

  • Community wellness and prevention programs
  • Mental health and suicide prevention education
  • Trauma-informed and resilience-focused trainings
  • Youth and family engagement initiatives
  • Workplace and community wellness partnerships
  • Neuroarts and creative wellness collaborations
  • Community outreach campaigns and public events
  • Collaborative workshops, festivals, and wellness activities
  • Events such as Sunflowers for Kids and other community engagement initiatives

We believe strong partnerships create stronger communities. By working collaboratively across organizations and sectors, United Services helps build environments that are more supportive, informed, connected, and responsive to community needs.
