Senior Counselor – Reunification and Therapeutic Family Time

Our Reunification & Therapeutic Family Time (RTFT) program is looking for a passionate, skilled Senior Counselor to join our supportive and dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in helping families reconnect, heal, and move forward together.
Description:
RTFT provides Reunification Readiness Assessments, Reunification Services, and Therapeutic Family Time to families referred by DCF across a 21-town region in Northeast Connecticut. You’ll work both in-office and in the community, meeting families where they are and supporting them through meaningful change.

- Partner with families to assess readiness and support successful reunification
- Coordinate and deliver individualized, family-centered services
- Use strong engagement skills to build trust with diverse populations
- Apply assessment skills to guide treatment and progress
We’re seeking someone who is:
Organized and able to manage time and caseloads effectively
- Passionate about working with children and families in the child welfare system
- Skilled at connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in relevant human services field
Full-time position – 40 hours per week (flexible schedule may include evenings and weekends)
Work Location: This role requires a hands-on presence to deliver the best care possible. You will work directly with clients on-site and in the local community.
Hourly Pay Range: $19.40-$21.95 (depending on experience)
Bilingual Spanish/English Fluency: $20.38-$23.06 (depending on experience)
