About United Services
Every day across Northeastern Connecticut, individuals and families turn to United Services for support during moments of crisis, recovery, transition, and growth.
Through mental health care, crisis intervention, domestic violence services, youth programs, recovery support, and community education, our work reaches thousands of people each year across the communities we serve.
Our Impact
When we talk about impact at United Services, we’re not just talking about numbers—we’re talking about people, families, and communities moving forward.
In Fiscal Year 2025, United Services provided more than 132,000 units of service to over 10,000 individuals and families across Northeastern Connecticut—a reflection of both growing need and growing trust in the care we provide.

Each person we serve brings their own story, and our role is to meet them where they are and connect the right supports around them. On average, individuals engaged in multiple programs, highlighting the importance of coordinated, whole-person care that addresses more than just one need at a time.
Our impact can be seen across every part of the community:
- Individuals finding stability through counseling, crisis response, and recovery services
- Children and families rebuilding connection, confidence, and support
- Youth gaining the tools to make healthier decisions and avoid long-term risk
- Adults working toward recovery, housing stability, and employment
- Seniors staying connected, independent, and engaged
At the same time, our prevention and community-based efforts continue to create lasting change—reaching youth and families through education, reducing risky behaviors, and building stronger, more informed communities.
What this ultimately reflects is a simple but powerful idea:
When people have access to the right support at the right time, outcomes change.
For those we serve, that might mean getting through a crisis, rebuilding relationships, or taking the first step toward recovery.
For our community, it means stronger families, healthier workplaces, and a more connected region.
And for those who support this work, it means being part of something that continues to grow—expanding access, deepening impact, and ensuring that when someone reaches out, there is always a place to turn.
